Corn harvesting in progress at Agrovivo

Corn harvesting is in progress at Agrovivo with over half the planted area harvested.

New Holland combines with RTK auto guidance accuracy of +/- 2cm ensures zero overlap along the along the sowing line were used to harvest the corn to maximise harvesting efficiency.

‘Due to the summer drought, Corn yields are substantially lower than last year, up to 50% in some fields but due to our decision to switch to moisture retaining technologies, our yields are far better than those of our neighbours who are still using conventional techniques’, said Yuri Kornev, Chief Agronomist.

With a challenging season drawing to a close, optimisation and a forward thinking strategy is ensuring that performance at Agrovivo is continuously improving.
